As a small child, I always thought that I knew what animals were thinking and feeling.  However, everyone always told me that it was just my imagination. After I heard that phrase enough, I guess I believed that it was just my imagination too and I “shut out the ability” to talk to animals. It stayed that way for about 45 years.

Then after I became a Reiki Master and Teacher, my intuition really started to increase. I realized that when giving Reiki to people and animals, I would sometimes receive messages. Information that I do not know how I got, but it was always accurate. It didn’t always happen and I couldn’t control it.

THEN MY WHOLE LIFE CHANGED!  I traveled to Bozeman, Montana to visit the Montana Grizzly Encounter, which is a Grizzly Bear Rescue Sanctuary. They rescue Grizzly Bears that have been in bad captive situations. I went to the sanctuary to give the Grizzly Bears Reiki. While I was there, the owner of the sanctuary assumed that if I could do Reiki, I could also talk to animals. I told her that sometimes I got messages and sometimes I didn’t, but I would tell her if I got any information from the bears.

I was led to the first bear, named Lucy, who was 18 months old. As I began to give her Reiki, I began to get images in my head and I just “knew” a bunch of information (which I am not sure how I got). All information was relayed to Ami (who is the director/owner) of the sanctuary and she validated all information. By the time I got to the 3rd bear, a handsome 7 foot, 900 bear named Brutus, things really amped up.

What is an Animal Communicator?

Whenever I tell people that I am an Animal Communicator, I am usually presented with 3 common reactions. The most common of the three reactions is, “I need you to talk to my pet!!” The second most common reaction is, “What is that? Is that like a Pet Psychic?” Which is then followed by, “I need you to talk to my pet!!” And the third most common reaction is the “eye roll” or some sort of sound of disbelief.

Well all of those reactions are certainly understandable. I myself was the biggest skeptic of it all for awhile, so I understand when people think it is odd that I talk to animals. It is odd. But it is the coolest thing ever!! I am completely blessed to have this gift and I am doing my best to share it with the world, now that I have come out of the “kennel closet” and am no longer afraid to tell people that yes, I really can truly talk to animals (both past and present).

I want to address the problem of calling myself an Animal Communicator. People just don’t really understand what that means. Most people, when asked, think that I study how animals interact or communicate with each other. However, if I tell them that I am a Pet Psychic, then they tend to get a better feel for what I do.

Think of me as a Foreign Language Translator that translates Human to Animal and vice versa. You ask me to tell your pet something or ask your pet a question and I talk to them in a language that they understand. I then get the answer from your pet and interpret it for you.
